Our Story

Meet the Maker

Patrick Nichols in his Clarksville, Tennessee woodworking workshop

From Corporate Career to Craftsman

After 30 years in the corporate world, I retired and found myself looking for something to fill my days — something meaningful, something I could build with my hands. In March 2025, I picked up woodworking as a hobby. I had no idea it would become my passion.

What started as a few projects in my garage workshop quickly became something more. Friends and neighbors saw what I was building and wanted pieces for their own homes. I realized I wasn't just making furniture — I was helping people create outdoor spaces they actually wanted to spend time in.

I'm from the South, so hospitality runs deep. I genuinely enjoy working with people, listening to what they envision, and then building something that exceeds their expectations. Every planter box, every bench, every custom piece gets the same attention to detail — because I believe outdoor furniture should be just as thoughtful and well-made as anything inside your home.

I'm not just another woodworker selling cedar boxes. I bring a designer level of craft to every build. You can see it in the details and feel it in the quality. That's what Nichols Woodworking Co. is about.

What Drives Us

Our Values

01 Quality Materials

We select every board by hand, choosing lumber for its grain, character, and durability. Cedar and hardwoods — each chosen for its purpose.

02 Honest Craftsmanship

No shortcuts, no particle board, no veneer. Every joint is cut with precision. Every surface is finished with care. Built to last.

03 Personal Service

You work directly with me — the person building your piece. I communicate throughout the process and send updates along the way.
